What you will be doing

Through the Pure Ambition Graduate Programme, you’ll have the opportunity to make a big impact every day both at a local level in your immediate team and also globally on our commercial priorities and growing business. We offer an engaging and immersive experience-driven development journey where you’ll learn and develop not just the skills required for today, but the skills required for tomorrow.


Working in our Product Management team in Tirlán in Year 1, this role contributes to the development and execution of Tirlán’s ingredients category strategy, specifically in the dairy powders portfolio. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical skills and business expertise. As a Commercial Associate, you’ll be responsible for:


  • Supporting the sales channel in delivering the categories value-add targets
  • Supporting the development and management of the new opportunities pipeline
  • Partnering with R&D and other cross-functional colleagues to bring new products to market
  • Being the commercial lead, driving new business opportunities through the innovation forum
  • Providing in-depth product expertise to customers, Ingredients category and New Scale Markets as requested
  • Working closely with the marketing team to build the go-to-market story, linking our USPs to customer / market needs
  • Being a representative for the commercial side of the category at the Business Change Control Forum to enable commercialization of pipeline opportunities

In Year 2, you will take the functional expertise and skills gained in Year 1 and apply these in a key account management rotation, giving you the opportunity to be more customer-facing as your competence grows.

  • High academic record to date and expected minimum of a 2.1 honours primary degree. Due to the mix of technical and business skills required for this opportunity, we are seeking candidates with an undergraduate degree in Food Science, Nutritional Science or Microbiology with a Masters of Business/Commerce, Food Business or related discipline.
  • A proven ability to utilise technology including digital and e-commerce platforms
  • Relevant sales experience through an internship or other related experience
  • Passion for sales and desire to grow our business
  • Ambition to progress successfully in a career in commercial in an exciting, ever-changing and challenging environment
  • Thinks commercially and delivers customer centric solutions
  • Drives collaboration and builds partnerships to meet shared objectives
  • Communicates clearly and can influence at all levels
