Finance Manager - Supply Chain

The Finance Manager – Supply Chain will play a critical role in helping to drive the financial/operational performance of the GPN Product Supply Team. As a Finance Manager at GPN supporting the Product Supply organization, your work will be used throughout the organization to drive improvements in reporting, analysis and identifying cost savings opportunities. This role will report to the Director of Supply Chain FInance and will focus on improving the Product Supply reporting and presentations. This position will initially not have any direct reports, but will have to work with various members of the Finance team and the Product Supply team.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Provide analytical support for the month-end, forecasting and budget process within Product Supply.
  • Lead the collection, consolidation and reporting requests for Product Supply Finance activities.
  • Lead and prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial reports and presentations.
  • Analyze variances at the plant level vs. forecast, budget and prior year; identify and understand drivers of volume and rate.
  • Provide financial support to help drive value added decisions surrounding capital investments.  Track projects and provide analysis including post project reviews of actual return on investment.
  • Preparation and standardization of templates and models.
  • Proactively looking for trends, best practices, and opportunities with the network to drive improvements.
  • Demonstrate willingness to take on changing daily tasks and build scalable modular processes.
  • Perform/Lead other projects as assigned
  • Some travel required depending on projects
     
    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including presentation skills.
  • Ability to dive into the details to understand drivers of cost, but also summarize for executives.
  • Ability to tell the story in an easy to understand way for non-Financial professionals.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Maintains high level of accuracy
  • Expert Excel experience is a plus
  • Organized and detail oriented with the ability to multi-task
  • Self-starter and intellectually curious with ability to figure out tasks with minimal direction
  • Strong understanding of the financial statements and key accounting concepts
  • Team player – Will be working with various functional owners at the plants and at corporate.
  • Flexible – Need to be able to adapt with a fast changing environment
         
    Education/Experience:
  • 5-8 years of experience and practical exposure in FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis), evaluating business performance, and Financial Accounting and Control
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • General accounting knowledge and strong Microsoft Office capability
  • CMA, CPA, or MBA preferred.
  • Prior manufacturing finance experience including standard costing, material, labor and overhead variance analysis preferred.
