A vacancy has arisen for a Financial Analyst at Glanbia Business Services based in Aurora, IL. This position will report to the Financial Services Supervisor.  


Status: Exempt

 Role Summary

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for accounting and general banking activity in a large, fast-paced and growing global organization within the Nutritional space. This is a unique role within a shared services model supporting accounting, finance, and bank-related functions across U.S. company divisions, while also working with global functions. Additionally, this role will partner with stakeholders across the business on projects to integrate new acquisitions and to further refine our use of technology in our accounting and finance processes.


Key Deliverables of the Role

  • Own the daily banking and payment processes for all of North America in partnership with other team members.
  • Complete payment runs, manual payments and intercompany payments
  • Complete intercompany accounting, journal entry and month-end reconciliations in conjunction with Corporate Accounting and Treasury’s system
  • Support financial forecasting, cash flow, and general financial planning in the business units by posting bank payments in a timely manner
  • Resolve ad hoc queries and issues with Accounting and Treasury
  • Compile and distribute relevant financial information to various company business units as appropriate
  • Complete SAP system testing as part of implementing new processes or integrations to ensure finance and compliance requirements
  • Participate in, contribute to, and lead change and process improvement initiatives
  • Assist with finance projects, including company growth and integration tasks
  • Support accounting/finance functions as needed by providing back up and context for questions on payments.
  • Work in a collaborative environment focused on development and partnerships
  • Complete Blackline reconciliations on a monthly basis
  • Prepare Key Performance Indicators for review



  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Skills & Experience

  • Two years related experience and/or training in a Shared Service or related-accounting environment focused on payment activity and banking.
  • Must have prior experience with SAP or a similar ERP System
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong MS Office Suite knowledge, including the ability to complete advanced functions in Excel including pivot tables and v-look ups.
  • Must be able to prioritize, organize, and delegate assignments.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
