Assist in the administration of various human resource programs, assists in development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, handles employee relations issues, assist in maintaining affirmative action plan activities, and provides assistance to any HR projects as needed. 


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve employee relations issues; including the investigation of harassment, discrimination and other charges; manage discipline and discharge functions, and assume responsibility for the uniform and equitable application of policies across the business.
  • Responds to employee inquiries regarding various topics such as benefits, payroll, policies and procedures with the guidance of HR Centers of Excellence, HR Manager.
  • Administers and may oversee different administrative duties including but not limited to: updating communication mediums, generating employment verification letters, verifying I-9’s, and completing green sheets, etc.
  • Administers various human resources programs including employee recognition programs (services awards, employee acknowledgement program, employee appreciation days, etc.).
  • Helps employees and leaders manage through conflict and change. Serves as a coach and advisor to people leaders. 
  • Engages with employees to build a positive and transparent environment reflective of the company’s values.
  • Assist with local site labor strategy by understanding the changing hiring needs and effectively collaborating hiring activity with talent acquisition team to ensure optimum staffing levels
  • Facilitates onboarding (employee orientations) and off-boarding (exit interviews).
  • Creates and analyzes reports, utilizes data insights to make decisions that impact programs or policies.
  • Supports talent, performance, and merit review processes.
  • Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.


Education and Experience

  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field 
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience within the manufacturing industry
  • Strong knowledge of human resource principles and practice
  • Possesses intellectual curiosity and ability to challenge status quo
  • Able to multi-task and adapt to rapidly changing demands and priorities
  • Able to work autonomously
  • Strong interpersonal skills with frontline employees and leadership
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) communications skills required
