Human Resources Generalist

Job Summary

Assist in the administration of various human resource programs, assists in development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, handles employee relations issues, assist in maintaining affirmative action plan activities, and provides assistance to any HR projects as needed. The HR Generalist must be able to travel between our three (3) Aurora locations approximately 10 minutes away at least two (2) days per week.

 

Duties

 

• Assists in employee relations investigations and other performance issues with the guidance of the HR Manager and/or Sr. HR Generalist.

• Assists in development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.

• Assists in Performance and Merit review process.

• Administers various human resources programs including employee recognition programs (services awards, employee acknowledgement program, employee appreciation days, etc.).

• Assists in review of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.

• Assist the Aurora Campus HR team performing different administrative duties including but not limited to: parking passes, answering benefits and/or payroll questions, updating bulletin boards, generating employment verification letters, access cards, etc.

• Coordinates hiring activity with the temporary agencies and temporary employees.

• Assists with recruitment, on-boarding (employee orientations) and off-boarding (exit interviews).

• Assists and responds to employees with questions regarding benefits with the guidance of the benefits team, HR Manager and/or Sr. HR Generalist.

 

 

Education and Experience:

  • 4 Year / Bachelor’s Degree, concentration in Human Resources, Business or related field
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of HR manufacturing experience
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) communications skills required.
  • Employee Relations Experience
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Flexible team player
  • Strong PC skills and understanding of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of human resource principles and practices.
