Manager, Inventory Control

Essential Functions:

 

  • Develop and lead the inventory control team in all areas related to the supply chain operations.
  • Ensures consistent compliance with all GPN policies and procedures in regards to inventory control.
  • Train and develop all skills directly associated with Inventory Control Supervisors and Inventory Control Specialist.
  • Develop training materials and SOP’s for inventory control team.
  • Establish and utilize best methods (statistical models and software tools) for maintaining inventory accuracy and picking efficiencies.
  • Establishes annual goals and objectives, (including KPI targets) in coordination with corporate objectives, and manages performance to ensure attainment.
  • Oversight for physical inventory reconciliations and analysis in addition to coordinate timing, execution and reporting of physical inventory as required.
  • Responsible for scheduling and executing inventory control activities in all facilities where GPN materials are stored and used in production procedures. Inventory reconciliations and physical inventories at all GPN and 3PL facilities.
  • Ensure focus at all levels around inventory control to reduce/limit the dollars adjusted relating cycle count activities.
  • Responsible for assisting in managing blocked stock inventory and address issues within a timely manner to reduce write-offs.
  • Responsible for generating MDA’s and submitting for appropriate disposal authorizations.
  • Ensures the inventory control team follows safety procedures and adhere to GMP guidelines.
  • Monitor timely completion and accuracy of inventory transactions with cross-functional teams.
  • Values Champion for team to ensure daily focus especially around Find A Better Way, Teamwork and Hiring & Developing the Best People while continuing to mentor and develop Inventory Control Supervisor and Inventory Control Specialists.
     
    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 
  • Demonstrated understanding of the inventory flow and inventory accounting policies and procedures
  • Ability to lead a team toward a common goal
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work within deadlines and utilize resources to meet those deadlines
  • Ability to determine staffing needs and hire appropriate resources
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills/Bilingual in Spanish a plus
  • Strong PC skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power point)
     
    Education/Experience:
  • Four year degree in Business or relevant work experience
  • Minimum of 2-4  years in inventory control supervision
  • Understanding of all SAP inventory control related transactions
  • Knowledge of using RF Scanner technology
