Job/Project Summary:


This position will support the production operations activities and will work closely with the production managers.  The key areas of responsibility will entail coordinating production projects and analyzing the results for recommended solutions.  This will include looking at weight & yield studies, observing and analyzing bottleneck activities, developing standard work instructions or time standards, conducting safety and ergonomic work studies and implementing line performance metrics.

Job Responsibilities


  • Observe and analyze bottleneck activities (changeovers, etc) and apply tools to improve.
  • Develop standard work instructions and/or time standards for job tasks through the use of time study.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing tools eliminate waste and improve processes.
  • Conduct safety/ergonomic work studies.
  • Develop and conduct a weight & yield study. Analyze each production line and identify any issues. Recommend process improvements.


Basic Qualifications:

  • In the process of actively pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business (Accounting, Finance, Mgmt) or Industrial Engineering.
  • Clear written communication and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships within a team.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Working knowledge or awareness of Lean Manufacturing tools and principles.
  • Self-starter and works independently.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
