QA Lab Documenter/Coordinator

 Essential Functions:

  • Knowledge of cGLP and CFR-21 for recording and collecting raw data.
  • Knowledge of Laboratory regulations, documentations and recording of sample analysis data.
  • Responsible for updating, organizing and replacement of all expired reference standards.
  • Responsible for receiving, checking, recording, documenting, and tagging of incoming chemicals, reagents, and lab supplies into the database system.
  • Responsible for updating raw materials, finished product and OOS status into our SAP system daily.
  • Review and compare the specifications of raw materials testing protocol with Optimum Nutrition specification and inform the QA Lab Manager for any discrepancies.
  • Responsible for creating, printing, and recording the finished product results from the chromatographs into the finished product testing sheet.
  • Review the RM/FP testing sheet for GLP/GMP compliance.
  • Responsible for analyst monthly data testing reports.
  • Responsible for printing and checking the finished product protocol testing and MMR for supplements analysis and inform the chemist for any discrepancies.
  • Review the lab notebooks and inform chemists for any corrections.
  • Overseeing the collection and disposal of waste materials according to QA SOP.
  • Participates in and contributes to a safe environment in the QA laboratories by:
    • Keeping current with safety regulations
    • Being responsible for the evacuation of the QA laboratories during emergencies.
    • Maintaining the MSDS inventory in the QA laboratories.



Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

  • Working as a team member in meeting laboratory and departmental goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrating knowledge of chemical safety materials.


Decision Making/ Problem Solving:



  • Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field of study (Food Science, Microbiology, etc.)
  • Experience in the food industry, particularly with health/supplement/nutritional food.
  • Experience with Standards of Procedure (development, writing, implementation and education).
  • Years of experience: 3 years
