QA Lab Supervisor

Essential Functions:

  • Highly experienced in instrumentations such as: UPLC, HPLC, GC, ICP-OES, FTIR, CHN combustion/reduction (Hydrogen Carbon Nitrogen) analyzer.
  • Knowledge of Water and Fat Soluble Vitamins, Amino acid analysis by Derivatization, Heavy metals and Minerals, Supplements, Sugar profiles, Organic acids, Proteins and Fats in raw materials and finished products.
  • Knowledge of method development, method validation and method transfer using above analytical instruments.
  • Highly knowledge of analytical instruments troubleshooting and the chemistry of the UPLC, HPLC and GC.
  • Highly knowledge of processing data using Waters Empower software II and III.
  • Knowledge of cGLP, cGMP, and CFR-21 for the Processing data, Recording data, Reporting data and Data Interpretation.
  • Responsible for performing assay analysis in Raw materials, in-process products and finished products using UPLC, HPLC Waters with Empower software II and III, GC and ICP-OES.
  • Assisting the QA Lab Manager in preparation of editing of SOPs, Test Methods, and make sure SOPs and documents are up to date for analytical laboratory.
  • Creating a uniform system for the evaluation of all raw materials, in-process products and finished products.
  • Participate in daily operations of laboratory; including analytical testing, calibration of instruments, validation of standards and equipment, troubleshooting instruments and ensuring turnaround times are met.
  • Participate in investigation and writing of OOS report.
  • Participate in internal and external company’s audit.
  • Orientation and training of new laboratory staff.
  • Participates in and contributes to a safe environment in the QA laboratories by:
    • Keeping current with safety regulations.
    • Checking and maintaining safety equipment.
    • Explaining safety procedures to individuals using the laboratories.
    • Being responsible for the evacuation of the QA laboratories during emergencies.
    • Maintaining the MSDS inventory in the QA laboratories.
  • Participates in and contributes to the achievement of QA Laboratory.

  • Demonstrating knowledge of chemistry laboratory materials.
  • Demonstrating knowledge of chemical safety materials.

 

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Master’s in Analytical Chemistry a plus.
  • Years of experience: 4+
  • Experience in FDA CPG industries
  • Industry certifications  are desired
