Quality Lead, 2nd Shift

General Summary: The Quality Lead is responsible for managing and enforcing procedures and company established policies regarding the powder process, storage and environmental controls of all goods manufactured and stored at the Aurora facilities.
Essential Functions:
- Fully understand the process flow from manufacturing of finished product and Warehouses/Distribution Center Processes.
- Enter results into a computerized system, track and report results (SAP/MS Office programs).
- Understand microbiological concepts, procedures, and knowledge of aseptic technique in Connection to Environmental Program and ECA and Sanitation.
- Participate in GMP audits per SOPs on prescribed frequency.
- To support investigations for Root Cause Analysis for Out of Specification (OOS) on FG.
- To provide coverage for Quality Supervisor when directed.
- To coordinate with Operations/Warehouses and Sanitation, Environmental Corrective Actions (ECA)
- To coordinate updates of Environmental, Master Sanitation Schedule, ATP and Weights Downloads Logs.
- To coordinate other Logs per Quality Supervisor instructions
- To support monitoring compliance practices and report OOS and recommends improvements.
- Participates Mock Trace exercises.
- To support as Documenter on the update and approval processes of SOP’s and related documents.
- Flexibility to perform other duties as assigned by Quality Management.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Advanced knowledge of cGMPs, HACCP and FDA regulations.
- Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Must be proficient in MS Office programs (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time.
Decision Making/ Problem Solving:
- Participates in Root Cause Analysis investigations and make decisions within a team environment.
- Recommends improvements to processes.
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma. Preferable bachelor degree but not a requirement.
- Experience with Standard Operating Procedures (development, implementation and education).
- Years of experience: 1 year minimum as Quality Auditor at Glanbia for internal candidates. 3 years of experience for external candidates.
- Knowledge in HACCP and HARPC
