The Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Control Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will lead and support our QA Technicians, ensuring that our quality and food safety standards are consistently maintained throughout the manufacturing process. You will play a crucial role in upholding compliance with FDA regulations and NSF principles, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a culture of accountability and engagement within the QA team. This role reports to the Quality Operations Manager and duties include but are not limited to the following;
- Leadership and Team Development: Lead, coach, train, and support QA Technicians. Schedule daily line assignments and approve PTO/vacation requests. Build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Compliance and Food Safety: Ensure compliance with GPN processes, customer expectations, and food safety standards. Oversee food safety preventive controls and lead non-conformance activities.
- Auditing and Inspections: Conduct internal GMP audits, support third-party and regulatory audits, and perform daily facility inspections.
- Communication and Collaboration: Prepare and deliver shift reports, escalate critical issues, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to resolve quality and food safety issues.
- Continuous Improvement and Other Responsibilities: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, monitor sanitation procedures, and provide coverage for QA duties as needed.
The Skills you will bring to the team
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience plus an Associate’s degree).
- Minimum of 6 months of Quality Assurance experience in the food/health/dietary supplements industry.
- Strong knowledge of FDA 21CFR111 & FSMA regulations, GMPs, SSOPs, and HACCP principles.
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and MS Office programs.

Where and how you will work
The opportunity will be based in Aurora, IL. for the third shift, 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM. You will begin your shift on Monday night and your week ends Saturday morning at 6:30 AM.

The typical candidate is hired below midpoint of the range. Annual salary for Illinois - based employees for this role is $60,000 - $75,000.
