Regional Athletics Manager - East

Responsible for leading the GPN business within existing and new customers / partnerships within the Athletics channel in a specified region.  The position requires an individual who is skilled in customer management, relationship building, joint partnership planning and sales /marketing activation in athletic departments and on campus availability.  The successful candidate must be capable of creating, executing, and delivering partnership plans consistent with Company strategies and objectives.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for company sales and profits with assigned customer base
  • Identify business objectives, key field sales / marketing initiatives and goals with each customer
  • Execute all brand and company initiatives
  • Build awareness of Optimum Nutrition Athletics as the destination for sports nutrition
  • Educate coaches, dieticians, athletic trainers, athletes and parents on importance of sports nutrition
  • Develop acute knowledge of ON Athletics offerings, functional benefits and competitive landscape
  • Lead building awareness of Optimum Nutrition Athletics as the destination for sports nutrition

     

Education Requirements:

  •  Minimum Required: BS/BSA or equivalent work experience

 

Related Work Experience:

  • Minimum Required: 10 years of successful customer sales experience
  • Minimum Required: 5+ years of account management experience

Advancing the Customer Relationship:

 

  • Ability to facilitate and accelerate the business relationship based upon an understanding of the customer
  • Actively listen and engage in conversation to uncover relevant information to grow partnerships
  • Ability to educate, customer base on the benefits of sports nutrition
  • Ability to cultivate athletic departments

 

Partnership Planning Development including sell in of key business/marketing plan initiatives

 

  • Ability to develop and implement quarterly and annual business / marketing plans as well as track and progress of business partnership results on an ongoing basis

 

Systems Knowledge

  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Work, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to learn and be self-sufficient with GPN sales and financial systems

 

 

Job Requirements:

Develop business plans to deliver assigned targets. Identify business objectives, strategies, key initiatives based on company objectives. Create and develop plans utilizing brand initiatives, merchandising tactics, retail price package architecture to bring the company’s brand to life with consumers. Owns the results for their customers, and geography. In addition, this role will play a critical role in leading and developing relationships with key athletic department personal to maximize brand exposure within athletic departments as well as creating opportunity for on campus distribution opportunities.
