At Glanbia Business Services (GBS), the Global IT and Finance Shared Services division of Glanbia, we currently have an opportunity for an experienced SAP SD Business Analyst to join our team.

 

Key deliverables of the role

  • Gain an understanding of the Glanbia SAP processes, configuration and enhancement points for the Sales and Distribution (SD) module across our various divisions.
  • Design, develop and deliver enhancements in the form of specific mini-projects and change requests in the SAP SCM area.
  • Participate in an SD lead role on multiple (and sometimes concurrent) implementation and continuous improvement projects, including:
    • Definition of SAP SCM scope, based on workshops with business representatives and knowledge of existing core model.
    • Definition of SAP SCM blueprint and securing sign-off by relevant process representatives from the business.
    • Leading out the SAP SD build activities including configuration, investigation of enhancement points and definition of technical programming specifications etc.
    • Defining and supervising SCM SAP testing cycles, and training material preparation.
    • Leading Cut-over planning and execution for the SCM area and providing initial high-attention post-live support.
    • Hand-over of SAP SCM design to application support team post project.
  • Technical mentoring and development of graduates and new joiners to the team where required.
  • Provide SAP expert knowledge in the functional areas of Sales and Distribution, to respond to business requirements, and to contribute pro-actively to continuous improvement to Glanbia’s SAP implementations.
  • Provide assistance to the Application Support team in the resolution of complex support calls escalated by them.
  • Some travel to project locations will be required as part of the role.

 

Skills & Experience:

  • At least five years’ experience in hands-on configuration and development roles within the SAP SD module.
  • Experience in an SD lead role in at least three full-cycle implementations.
  • Strong cross-functional knowledge in Logistics Execution, Materials Management (including Batch Management) and Finance (including integration to PA value fields and to FI postings).
  • Experience of specifying changes via SAP enhancement points around user exits, custom routines, forms, and interfaces, and ideally in debugging simple ABAP code / routines.
  • Detailed configuration experience in Cross company and Intercompany processes, in Pricing configuration and customisation and in the configuration of Sales Tax and outputs

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in IT, Supply Chain or related discipline.
  • Ideally SAP Certified in SD module for ERP 6.0.
