Job Summary:

  • A key position where you will have responsibility for providing structure and procedures that will make our manufacturing process more efficient in production and on-time delivery.  This position requires the knowledge of all functions within operations to make sound decisions.   This position requires the ability to work well across multiple departments.   Successful characteristics include being detail oriented and well organized.

 

 

Essential Functions:

  • Daily scheduling and adjustments in accordance with the production priority to achieve weekly and monthly production targets
  • Advises department management on matters relating to daily operations and makes recommendations for improvements when feasible.
  • Develops information and compiles reports concerning scheduling, production goals, equipment and maintenance problems and other studies or reports as requested.
  • Works in a team environment with other department management to coordinate a production schedule to achieve required deadlines, objectives and budgets
  • Ensure that planning recommendations are being followed routinely and take into account customer needs, raw material inventory, and plant capacity.
  • Monitor production for completion of the schedule and work within Operations to make improvements as necessary. 
  • Examines production specifications and capacity data, and performs mathematical calculations to determine production processes, tools, and human resource requirements
  • Communicate with department supervisors to determine status of assigned projects
  • Monitor material supply and alert others to potential shortages
  • Supervise and motivate subordinates

    • Possess “Big Picture” Operations knowledge
    • SAP experience
  • Skills of the position
    • Excellent time management skills to manage high volume in a fast-paced environment
    • Self-motivated, organized, creative and good leadership skills
    • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Abilities for the position
    • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time

Team and people oriented, professional and displays a “can-do” attitude

 

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in manufacturing planning
  • Active affiliations: APICS etc, a plus
