The Opportunity
An opportunity has arisen for a Shared Services Snr. AP Specialist based in Aurora, Illinois, with Glanbia Business Services and will report to the AP Manager.
The primary responsibility of this role is Accounts Payable support on initiatives related to process improvement, technology upgrades and expansion of Ariba platform: including onboarding, integration, catalog support and vendor troubleshooting. This role will be supporting the Accounts Payable and related teams in our Shared Service Center, and our colleagues in the business. Prepare reporting for Accounts Payable and Interpret data.
- The duties of the Shared Services Sr. AP Specialist include analysis of the Accounts Payable process in a busy, fast-paced and goal oriented Accounts Payable team
- Demonstrate flexibility in providing cover for team members across the Shared Service Centre where the need arises.
- Updating monthly dashboards and reports with the key performance indicators (KPI’s).
- Gathering data and analysing monthly reports.
- Review and execute invoice uploads to various vendors.
- Assist in system testing and transition of (new businesses) to the Shared Service Center
- Invoice Processing
- Conduct external calls to customers or suppliers as instructed
- Participate in Site and Business Unit meetings to resolve issues
- Resolve Landesk tickets/ email inquiries
- Liaising with colleagues in our Business Units
- Perform analysis of the P2P Process, & assist in identifying root cause to resolve any process issues, and document same
- Establish and maintain a positive relationship with other departments and colleagues
- Communicate and follow up effectively with stakeholders on issues & resolution
- Adheres to all department and company policies and procedures; and meets defined goals and activity metrics
- Perform ad-hoc analysis, projects and any other assigned tasks and duties as directed, to support the Shared Services Center/Accounts Payable
The Skills you will bring to the team
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Evidence of any other professional qualifications and training, either completed or underway, would be highly desirable.
- Strong Accounts Payable experience (4-6 years), preferably in a Shared Services environment. Ariba experience is a plus.
- Advanced excel skills
- SAP experience required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate in fluent English, in a clear manner to colleagues and customers.
- High attention to detail and ability to handle large data with an excellent degree of accuracy.
- Troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
- Capability to work collaboratively amongst Shared Service Center SSC teams and support business units.
