The opportunity where you will make an impact:

 

Reporting through to the Marketing Director the Digital Marketing Manager will have direct responsibility for the strategic development and in conjunction with the broader marketing team and agency partners, the execution of the various digital marketing tactics employed across the brands.   

The role covers both the Optimum Nutrition and BSN brands, and will play an integral role in both guiding the digital direction in the short term, as well as leading the business into the future across various key brand and business-related initiatives. 

Working as a leader amongst the marketing team, with direct responsibility for an important part of the marketing mix, the Digital Marketing Manager should ensure all digital initiatives are backed with sound strategy and communicated effectively across the broader business to ensure strong execution in both brand building and trade related activities. The role is responsible for the digital presence in both Australia and New Zealand, and as the role has scope to drive key projects there will also be connection and engagement with global teams across Europe and North America.

The ideal candidate for the role will be an experienced digital marketer, with a passion to drive the evolution of brands in the space and have a natural flair for capturing learnings and insight with a desire for continuous optimisation. Whilst not a prerequisite, a passion and interest in the health and fitness space will be viewed as favourable. 

 

  • Development of the digital marketing strategies for Optimum Nutrition and BSN, in line with over-arching brand plan across Australia and New Zealand.
  • Build collaborative and close management and ways of working with the Oceania digital marketing agency (The Pistol) and any other service providers.
  • Work with the brand management team and external providers to ensure all content is fit for platform and guided by insight from learnings around the customer journey and other research.
  • Detailed reporting (monthly and ad-hoc) on key initiatives to optimise digital media strategies and inform broader content and brand plan.
  • Development of the digital media strategies across – paid media, organic/evergreen, SEO/SEM and sponsored athletes and sporting codes, and ensuring the entire digital media eco-system is working in harmony.
  • Execution of the agreed digital strategies through both agency partners and the broader Oceania marketing team
  • Build collaborative relationships with commercial team members and key trade partners to ensure trade and tactical efforts are developed to drive stronger conversion and plug into the broader digital strategy.  
  • Project management inside some key business/brand projects in the digital space to future proof and enable the continued growth trajectory of the brands across Oceania. 
  • Management of the digital media marketing budget
  • Reporting of results and impact across digital marketing mix to local senior management team

 

What you will bring to GPN:

 

  • Degree level qualifications and/or similar in marketing or digital marketing
  • 5+ years’ experience in digital marketing specifically
  • Experience executing various digital marketing tactics across the brand funnel – awareness through to conversion
  • Experience in the development and implementation of paid media and SEO/SEM strategies (either directly or in-directly through an agency partner)
  • Experience managing external agencies
  • Preferably experience in managing major digital based projects eg. CRM
  • Previous management of marketing and project-based budgets
