The opportunity where you will make an impact:


The HR Generalist fulfils an important role in partnering and supporting the Regional Director of Oceania. This role will effectively manage all facets of the HR function in a dynamic and fast-growing business. This is a true generalist role which includes the ownership and management of talent acquisition, training and development, performance & talent management, compensation, coaching and developing the team, payroll and compliance.



  • Build relationships and work with the leadership team and employees in the region to become the trusted HR advisor.
  • Lead and handle ER/IR and performance issues; provide coaching and counseling as required.
  • Responsible for on boarding, induction of new eomployees and exit formalities.
  • Accountability for Statutory Compliance and documentation.
  • Manage the probation, performance and talent management processes.
  • Responsible for the development, management and maintenance of in country handbook and policies as well as delivery of Glanbia group’s HR policies developing robust internal communication systems.
  • Ownership of company values and ability to drive culture through OD initiatives creating a motivating working environment.
  • Manage Training and Development activities and assisting in the management of employee programs for succession planning and career development.
  • Payroll and compliance management, including remuneration reviews and oversight of the company entitlements and benefits in the region.
  • Management of the company HRIS including leaves and attendance management, reporting and metrics.
  • Supporting and helping drive employee engagement discussions and initiatives.
  • Active member of GPN International and Global HR Teams connecting in for support and leveraging existing processes and materials as appropriate.
  • Support and develop HR systems and practices that assist the growth and development of the businesses
  • Administer, or act as local liaison for applicable global moves.
  • Manage Health and Safety for the business.


What you will bring to GPN:


  • Dynamic HR Partner with 3-5 years’ + experience at HR Generalist level, preferably within a FMCG/CPG organization
  • Educated to degree level in HRM or relevant discipline
  • Experience in facilitating training and coaching employees and teams
  • Experience working with leadership teams providing high level advice on capability, performance and complex ER/IR issues
  • Experience in recruitment and innovative talent attraction and retention strategizing including reporting, HR administration, training, inductions and on boarding
  • Experience in payroll management and understanding of the contributing complexities
  • Highly competent in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and have had previous experience preparing PowerPoint presentations
  • Knowledge of HR and employment practice across Oceania

  • Strong generalist skill set working across all HR facets in the region with a proven track record operating and delivering HR excellence in a high growth business.
  • Self-starter – action oriented, highly organized and resourceful, high level of energy and ability to build and develop the HR function.
  • Good knowledge of regional employment legislation and labour relations including payroll management.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and degree of autonomy within a matrix organisation structure.
  • Capability to be flexible and agile.
  • Maturity and ability and interest to navigate through varied employment regulations and challenges.
  • The ability to assess and deliver HR initiatives.
  • Comfortable working closely with managers as a business partner and develop leadership skills to drive the people agenda of the business.
  • Experience with negotiations and managing expectations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good commercial nous.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong leadership behaviours, management and people skills with high team orientation.

  • The flexibility and willingness to learn with great adaptability and resilience whilst comfortable working unsupervised.
