This role will report to the Accounting and Reporting Manager – Central, with dotted line accountability to the Accounting & Reporting Manager – Ingredients. This role will focus on inventory valuation and the provision of transactional support to gross margin accounting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Transacting the cost of production for ingredients finished goods to SAP (as directed by Commercial Finance) as part of the month-end reporting cycle.
  • Support the monthly stock valuation process – ensuring timely & accurate entries on SAP to effect individual product cost & net realisable values to balance sheet.
  • Support the calculation & transacting of month-end journals in relation to revenue recognition.
  • Support the preparation of gross margin variance analysis reports, with particular focus on revenue and cost of goods sold.
  • Monitor manual invoicing process, ensuring that sales of raw material products are booked as per agreed timelines.
  • Ownership of SAP data uploads in relation to Budget/Forecast.
  • Work with Accounting & Reporting peers to drive process improvement, reporting capability development, finance automation and assigned projects / objectives.
  • Support the external and internal audit activity.

  • Experience of cost accounting in a large manufacturing environment

Key Requirements:

  • Performance & results driven approach
  • Degree qualified with professional accounting qualification – 3-5 years PQE required
  • Experience of ERP systems, Data Warehousing platforms and report design
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
