Based in Ballyragget and reporting to the QC Laboratory Manager, the role will involve working with a dedicated team of Technicians, Quality Managers and related staff to carry out a range of microbiological and chemical analysis of food products. The successful candidate will be based in the laboratories at Ballyragget. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Analysis of a range of utilities, in process and finished products ,including cheese, butter and dairy powders, using approved analytical methods using LIMS system
  • Participation in internal and external proficiency testing
  • Review documentation and lead lab investigations as part of the Glanbia CAPA programme
  • Validation of accredited test methods and commissioning of new instruments / project works
  • Internal auditing of quality systems across the site
  • Sensory analysis of final product 


Key Requirements:

  • Food Science/Micro qualification or equivalent  experience
  • A strong communicator and ability to work effectively as part of a team
