We are now hiring for the position of Logistics Analytical Manager in Glanbia Ireland.  This role reports to the Head of Logistics and is responsible for maximising the efficiency of the logistics efforts supporting the three business categories, across all competencies. Looking for, and delivering on, initiatives to reduce overall operating costs in relation to the Total Cost to Serve. Running alongside their own projects, monitor the performance of the broader portfolio of projects and initiatives within the logistics function.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide effective oversight of a large number of initiatives across Transport, Warehousing, and Exports ensuring collective adherence to the overall program of work. 
  • Centralise and standardise the method to establish and monitor the costs for service for the three logistics functions.
  • Supporting and where appropriate running appropriate cross functional programs to find cost saving initiatives.
  • Increase network visibility & analysis to find the right measure and scoring of KPI’s to drive performance.
  • Spend the appropriate time in each of the three logistics functions developing and delivering programs of work leading to cost reduction and / or process improvement. 
  • Review networks and routes to market by category to find efficiencies in relation to method, partner & service which culminate in lower logistics costs.
  • Take an overarching view of the three categories to find commonality or availability of assets to share benefit creating efficiencies for the wider logistics costs of the business.
  • Support and drive development in the broader programs of work working closely with the Head of Logistics to monitor the overall functions strategy and ambition. 
  • Be an effective agent in the 3M process, striving to implement and learn Glanbia Performance Systems (lean) tools where appropriate to enhance the services and processes.


Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in logistics operations and cost control.
  • A strong aptitude for Logistics IT systems and innovation of intuitive user interfaces.
  • Strongly analytical and structured approach to problem solving
  • Possess excellent verbal and written reporting skills
  • Controlling large volumes of initiatives under a program of work to a successful conclusion.
