We currently have an exciting opportunity to join GI’s Milk Office in Ballyragget, Co Kilkenny.  This role looks after payments to individual milk suppliers and responsibility for issuing milk statements each month.  The Milk Office looks after all aspects of payment administration including maintaining supplier master data, and the operation of supplier-related payment schemes (e.g. fixed milk price schemes).  It also acts as a key service provider in administering deductions on behalf of farmers and paying these over to independent service providers (finance providers, bulk tank maintenance and other farm services), and provides administration services to other GI functions relating to milk.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Log all milk supplier applications to schemes (incl. return of contracts), review and follow up for completeness and update management on progress. Includes liaising with the:
    • Communications team, providing detail of suppliers and mobile numbers as required.
    • Milk facing teams providing status updates and working with to close out schemes.
    • IT team to facilitate display of data on Glanbia Connect.
  • Log milk supplier Herd Health Certificates on the Milk System and electronically file same.
  • SAP/Ariba invoicing processing for Milk Transport, Milk Quality and Milk Office.
  • Assist in the processing of Milk Supplier Masterdata changes.
  • DAFM returns and other Administrative duties as required by the Milk Payments Team.

 

Key Requirements:

  • Detail oriented, well organised with the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Experience in finance/bookkeeping/invoicing
  • Good command of Microsoft office suite especially Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships at all levels
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as being part of a team
  • Experience of working with SAP and/or Ariba systems
  • Knowledge/background Irish agriculture/dairy industry
