An opportunity has arisen in the Finance Team of Glanbia Ireland (Ingredients) at Ballyragget for a 12 month contract for the position of Finance Graduate / Trainee Accountant.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work as part of the Glanbia Ireland (Ingredients) Finance Department.

 

Reporting to the Management Accountant, key responsibilities include but are not limited to; Providing Accurate and Timely Management Accounting Information to local Management Team and other Finance staff.

 

Role Responsibilities

  • Maintain margin related files
  • Assisting with the compilation of weekly Mass Balance [raw material, usage and efficiency report] report [and standing in to back-fill and attend meetings when senior person away on leave].
  • Assisting with compilation of other weekly operations tracking information such as product composition tracking and effluent losses tracking.
  • Calculating customer commission charge for the month and ensuring accurate accrual provided at month end.
  • Facilitate the processing of commission invoices by validating charge against provisions and collection of monies from customers prior to commission payment.
  • Assisting in preparation of monthly accounts
  • Weekly & Monthly invoicing
  • Issuing weekly maintenance cost reports.
  • Monthly updating of transfer pricing and communicating to relevant individuals
  • Maintaining monthly energy and effluent reports.
  • Assist with weekly payroll accrual calculations
  • Assist with budget and forecast overhead preparation process including taking the lead on meeting some of the managers.
  • Maintenance stock obsolescence provision calculations plus assisting maintenance manager with targeting stocks for obsolescence review.
  • Physically attend maintenance stock counts and sample count same.
  • Monthly chemicals report.
  • GRC monitoring – extraction of quarterly reports for manager review.
  • Dealing with ad-hoc queries and reports

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Part qualified accountant or a graduate intending to pursue an accounting qualification
  • Some accounting experience desirable but not necessary as training can be provided.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Willingness to learn
