The Quality Systems Manager is responsible for supporting the quality department in the administration and implementation of the site Quality Management System in the context of a specialist dairy powder production facility. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining the facility’s QMS in line with the standards appropriate to a dairy powder facility and its customers. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Actively develop and maintain site Quality Systems in line with best practice standards in the dairy powder industry, food safety regulations and customer requirements
  • Manage the implementation and maintenance of Corrective Action Preventative Action and Change Control procedures
  • Quality Systems Auditing to assure compliance to cGMP and support site audit readiness activities
  • Review and develop internal auditing and feedback systems to maximise audit readiness in the context of industry, customer and plant standards and systems
  • Point of contact for all customer issues, queries or complaints as well as internal contact point for customer services, commercial, Department of Agriculture.
  • Status report metrics for the CAPA and Change Control systems and other relevant KPIs.
  • Co-ordination of quality related documentation for auditing (collation, filing, storage and presentation).
  • Support process and product validation and compliance activity
  • Documentation management and ownership of the document library for site-wide related documentation
  • Report on metrics relating to documentation lifecycle management
  • Ensure quality risk management documentation is complete and maintained and administrate the records retention programme
  • Drive Continuous Improvement of Quality System processes
  • Support training on site document management and change control systems
  • Support subject matter experts to create GxP training material/programmes
  • Develop and review documentation as appropriate
  • Execute local mock recall exercise
  • Compilation of the Master Manufacturing Batch Records for compliance to cGMP


Key Requirements:

  • 3rd level qualification in a scientific or technical discipline
  • At least 3 years’ experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Systems with a background in Quality or Food Safety Management Systems with Infant Formula (preferred) Food, Biotechnology or Pharmaceutical Background.
  • Proficient in applicable GMP/QSR regulations
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and develop bespoke Quality Systems for the environment
  • Quality Systems Audit experience
  • Good prioritization capability and comfortable adapting to meet production needs.
  • Attention to detail and ability to analyse and interpret data
  • Organised and methodical, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate technical information effectively
