Glanbia Ireland owns leading consumer and agri brands such as Avonmore, Kilmeaden Cheese, Millac, Solmiko, Truly Grass Fed, Premier Milk, Wexford,,, and GAIN Animal Nutrition. 


Based in Belview in South Kilkenny the role has overall responsibility for the Site and the manufacture of dairy ingredients used in the infant formula and nutrition categories. The role reports to the Head of Ingredient Operations.


Key Responsibilities;

  • Lead the Belview Site Management Team in the delivery of Site Performance across Quality, Customer, Throughput, Financial, Health and Safety and People related KPIs
  • Collaborate with the Glanbia Ireland Commercial team in the planning and implementation of Customer requirements in line with overall Site KPIs
  • Lead the Site Management team in the development and deployment of Belview’s risk management strategy
  • Champion and role model Belview’s Quality Standards in line with the Quality Management System
  • As Site Lead take a leadership role in driving compliance across all Site related activities and systems in line with Belview’s Quality Management Systems
  • Take a leadership role in the adoption and implementation of LEAN methodology and practice through Glanbia’s Performance System (GPS)
  • Maximise the financial performance of the Site through development and implementation of cost control and site optimisation programmes
  • Take a leadership role in the sites commitment to making diversity and inclusion part of how we work together.
  • Create and drive a culture on site which maximises employee engagement levels through our ways of working.
  • Take a leadership role in management of stakeholders across other functions within GI to optimise service delivery to the site in line with customer and overall KPI requirements
  • Implement management systems across the site which utilise data for driving improvements in core KPIs
  • Create and drive a culture on site which maximises employee engagement levels and promotes the Belview Site as an employer of choice in the region
  • Implement a governance and communications model that ensures all employees have access to the information they need to do be effective in  their job
  • Actively lead and promote a culture of Safety, Compliance, Excellence and Continuous Improvement


Key Requirements:

  • Third level qualification in a Science, Food, Engineering, Manufacturing or related discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years Management experience in the Food, Pharmaceutical or Beverage manufacturing sector with experience in manufacture of products used in sensitive or specialist customer applications an advantage
  • Results driven, customer focused with high performance capability in a fast moving challenging business environment
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills and the ability to nurture and develop employees, creating a culture where employee engagement is to the fore
  • Proven track record of continuous improvement within a lean manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
