Finance Analyst

Reporting to the LAPAC Commercial Finance Manager where the primary focus of the role is to help manage the business in various regions by assembling monthly financial reports, performing variance analysis, delivering daily sales outlook and assisting with the forecasting and budgeting process.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly reports and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Utilize SAP and Business Objects in order to run reports such as regional P&Ls and product/SKU/customer performance.
  • Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts making sure they are in-line with growth targets. Communicate with country managers for region specific input and organize data.
  • Create and produce daily the Open Order report for all regions in LAPAC. This report consists of compiling current sales, open orders and obtaining order risk assessments from Customer Service. Distribute findings to the commercial team as well as a number of executives.
  • Maintain SharePoint Promo Template used for deal evaluations by updating any needed information such as prices, discounts, etc.
  • Design and monitor rebate and promotional plans for various regions.
  • Monitor on-going sales outlook on a monthly, quarterly & annual view.
  • Review month end P&Ls with Regional and Country Managers.
  • Assist in building P&Ls needed to analyze new products and/or promotions.
  • Work directly with Sales and Marketing teams on a regular basis.
  • Provide month end evaluation of promotional programs and required accruals.
  • Identify and recommend commercial improvements.
  • Provide variance commentary for inclusion in the consolidated financial presentations.
  • Perform and/or review GL account reconciliations and other schedules to help ensure transactions and activity are recorded completely and accurately.
  • Provide support to other Glanbia accounting teams as needed to ensure an accurate overall group close process.
  • Investigate questionable results or data that is out-of-phase or incongruous versus other results to determine and understand the root cause of the issue.
  • Provide support as needed to assist with local payment processing for payroll and third-party invoices.
  • Prepare weekly sales report and distribute to commercial team and executives.
  • Prepare ad-hoc analyses and reports upon request.

  • Ability to travel up to 25%, some international.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline with minimum of 1 year post degree experience in FMCG or similar along with a strong financial discipline.
  • Experience in commercial financial and accounting practices.
  • Experience working with SAP financial planning, analysis & reporting tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in high pressure environment and delivering key objectives.
