Role Profile
Tirlán have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Procurement Process Manager, on a 12-month fixed term contract basis, reporting to the Head of Procurement. The Senior Procurement Process Manager leads the Procurement Services team. This team is responsible for Procurement process and solutions, policy and compliance, and also provides advice and support to the many different stakeholder groups internally and externally who interact with our source-to-pay processes. 

 

Responsibilities
•    Lead the optimisation of procurement processes and tools. 
•    Develop and maintain global procurement policies and related processes. 
•    Partner with internal functions in the development of policies and processes to ensure procurement activities are aligned with the strategic objectives of the business. 
•    Partner with procurement team members and BU stakeholders to enable efficient and effective use of procurement processes and tools. 
•    Develop, in conjunction with key stakeholders, the strategy and roadmap for procurement support services, training and buying channels. 
•    Partner with Glanbia Business Services IT on the digital transformation of the Procurement function to ensure the technology roadmap is aligned to the evolution of procurement processes and category strategies. 
•    Partner with relevant Glanbia Business Services teams who provide important services to the Procurement function to ensure services are delivered in line with agreed service levels and processes are continually assessed for optimisation to enhance stakeholder satisfaction. 
•    Provide direction and oversight on a number of strategic areas for the Procurement team including sourcing & contract management, KPIs & reporting, supplier performance management, stakeholder engagement, branding & marketing of the function. 
•    Procurement team performance management and strategic direction of same. 
•    Develop the learning objectives for the Procurement team, internal stakeholders who engage with procurement processes and tools as well as any direct reports into this role. 
•    Manage the Procurement Services team which includes direct reports of four people.


Requirements
•    3rd level qualification in a related discipline.
•    Experienced Procurement professional with a minimum of 5 years’ experience within a similar area. 
•    Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex topics into engaging, clear and concise information. 
•    A self-starter with a strong desire for continuous improvement and problem solving allied to an ability to drive enthusiasm for same across the team.
•    Clear thinker with an ability to prioritise. 
•    Using experience and knowledge gained in previous roles, be prepared to support and challenge current thinking and behaviours as appropriate across all functions and all levels in the context of best practice for procurement process and policies.
•    The ability to effectively communicate, influence and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
•    Fluent working knowledge of procurement systems including SAP and Ariba is essential.
•    Experience in managing people with a strong focus on overall team performance including service delivery, continuous improvement, compliance and customer-focused support to internal and external stakeholders.
