Job Summary

 

This position will create and complete financial reports for our Springfield, Missouri and Carlsbad, California Operations plants within the Finance department.  The position will involve the evaluation, interpretation, and reporting on daily, weekly and monthly operational reporting and analysis for Premix business units.

*This is a 6-12 month contract role.

 

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for preparing various weekly and monthly analysis as assigned;
  • Complete month end closing tasks within assigned deadlines;
  • Assist with planning process, including preparation of variance reports and commentary;
  • Provide ad hoc reporting and projects, analysis and trend information as needed;
  • Interact and partner with finance and operations teams across the Springfield and Carlsbad plants;
  • Responsible for monthly financial operations close and reporting cycle, manufacturing variances, production reports including overhead analysis;
  • Participate in the annual budgeting and forecasts activities. Provide detailed analysis on the development of the cost and present variances;
  • Provide analytical support and data in a timely manner to the production, supply chain and other support departments. Participate in operational decision making;
  • Assist in capital expenditure project accounting including ROI analysis, project spend vs. plan, and initial fixed asset setup;
  • Support Plant Controller on oversee financial aspects of all plant operations of Springfield, MO and Carlsbad, CA.

 

Additional Functions

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Participates in special projects or action teams

 

Qualifications

Education, Training:  

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three year’s related experience.
  • Professional accounting qualification preferred but equivalent experience will be considered.

 

Experience Required:

  • Minimum of three year’s related experience

 

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies: 

  • SAP, Business Object
  • Excel, Access

Physical Requirements: 

  • Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, works with the fingers, and perceive attributes of objects and materials.
  • Involves light physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of a primarily administrative nature.
  • Should be able to decipher color and to focus on objects within 20 feet.
