Job Summary
|
Senior Procurement Operations Manager will have overall US responsibility for the Procurement Operations function for Glanbia Nutritionals Premix locations (Springfield, MO, Carlsbad, CA, West Haven, CN and Taylorville, IL. The Manager will proactively work with enterprise-wide stakeholders to be a strategic partner between Procurement and the rest of the Premix organization. The role will manage a team of approximately five procurement professionals in a rapidly expanding, fast moving, and complex business in order to support the delivery of the premix strategy, managing risk to the business, supporting cost savings initiatives, and delivering key KPIs in the S&OP process.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities (not restrictive)
|
- Lead, develop, and grow a high performance team of approximately five talented professionals across the US, demonstrating superior leadership in line with the Glanbia values. Drive a culture of continuous development and provide direction to the team by establishing policies and strategies that support the demands of a growing and increasingly complex business.
- Support the Procurement Strategy by leading and participating in projects and initiatives across the US divisions and globally as assigned.
- Establish developmental plans for direct reports to support succession management plans.
- Develop and implement a strategy for the Premix Procurement team that supports the overall leadership direction.
- Drive the department direction and champion the business through:
- Supporting S&OP initiatives and delivering adherence to KPI targets by working with Premix Supply Chain, ensuring raw materials are in place to meet business needs.
- Maintaining oversight to regionally based Premix Procurement Operations teams, aligning resources to effectively execute strategy with a strong focus on process and system optimization to ensure best in class assurance of supply and services.
- Understanding the goals of Production as it pertains to supplies and the supply base and working with the Category team to ensure alignment to those goals.
- Collaborating with PSM and Commercial team members to support execution of Customer projects.
- Coordinating with the Category Managers to maintain effective supplier relationships and execute Category savings and efficiency projects by owning onsite project management.
- Working closely with Quality to ensure the safety of our products while striving to maintain NPD and production lead-times.
- Leading projects to promote the standardization of processes across Premix locations to promote a more efficient and effective organization.
- Contractual agreement negotiations:
- Consult with the Category Management team on requested contract and stock agreement negotiations to ensure minimal risk and lowest total cost in the supply chain.
- Ensure all contractual agreements are properly executed in conjunction with Category Managers.
- Own the overall Procure to Pay (PtoP) process for the US Premix operations:
- As assigned, work closely with the Procurement Centers of Excellence (COE) to improve PtoP processes within the organization including system optimization and report generation that supports the goals of the team.
- Manage master data maintenance processes.
- Ensure proper processes are in place for the establishment of new suppliers and materials.
- Coordinate efforts with Shared Services and drive Procurement Operations’ KPI achievement.
- Develops team to support the Category Managers to implement local sourcing activities for items not covered in the total Procurement Category strategies which may include finding distribution sources for already approved products.
- Establishes the proper and collaborative team environment to ensure there is a strong customer focus in all activities of the function at all times.
- Foster the Glanbia culture of “The Customer Champion” through outstanding service with a “can do” attitude.
- Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.

- Semi-Regular domestic and international travel to visit internal stakeholders in other regions, tradeshows, suppliers, and other events as required (20%).
