Job Summary

The Payroll Manager will help drive the agenda and performance across the Glanbia Nutritionals Business Unit.  The role will oversee the practices of the broader Glanbia Nutritionals payroll team, which spans 7 legal entities with nearly 2,000 employees.  This role will oversee the administration of bi-weekly payroll, ensure compliance with all applicable laws and taxation obligations, while also meeting internal and external service level agreements.  Key areas of responsibility will include: supporting the transition from multiple payroll platforms to ADP, instilling best-practice procedures and driving greater collaboration and communication amongst various payroll teams within Glanbia Nutritionals.


Essential Functions

  • Oversee the administration of bi-weekly payroll across seven legal entities and 20+ states
  • Provide strategic leadership to an on-going project to harmonize multiple payroll systems
  • Develop best practice procedures in the processing of standard payroll transactions (wages, benefits, garnishments, taxes, etc.) shared by multiple payroll teams
  • Coordinate and troubleshoot timekeeping and payroll systems, with support of the broader HR/IT and corporate functions
  • Ensure compliance with relevant state and federal laws
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors in the reconciliation of payroll data
  • Appropriately troubleshoot and proactively identify issues and develop recommendations for resolving issues
  • Ensure error-resolution is performed to high standards, within reasonable timeframes, and with the end-user satisfaction in mind
  • Strong project management mindset the ability to drive process harmonization within payroll and amongst the various inputs from other functions in support of payroll
  • Manage escalated issues and provide instruction to employees, managers, and staff regarding payroll.
  • Support the broader planning and budgeting efforts between Human Resources and various finance teams, driving greater transparency and reporting to various HR and Finance stakeholders.



Education, Training:            

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources Required.
  • CPP designation a plus



  • 10+ years’ experience managing payroll
  • Extensive experience working with ADP strongly preferred
  • Experience working with remote teams
