Job Summary

This position will join the Glanbia Nutritionals Total Rewards team, working in tandem with Benefits, Payroll, and HR Information Systems to drive the agenda of the Total Rewards team as a leveraged Center of Excellence, joining our HR colleagues in making Glanbia Nutritionals a premier employer.


The role of the Compensation & Analytics Manager will be responsible for developing, guiding and executing on key deliverables within Compensation to include, but not limited to; competitive market pricing and strategy, annual merit planning and execution, Short Term Incentive Plan design and maintenance, gender-pay analysis, large-scale wage investments, reporting and insights, and adhoc project management.  Much of this work will be done both directly by this role, as well as indirectly through the oversight of two Sr. Analysts on the Compensation and Analytics team.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities 

  • Performs internal and external analysis to inform Reward decisions to HR and Management
  • Provides comprehensive advice to key stakeholders on Total Reward and other reward related issues, liaising with other stakeholders within Reward, when appropriate.
  • Assists in the annual process cycles for salary reviews and variable pay to include: extensive review of proposed salary increases, parity reviews across various teams, competitiveness and retention risk analysis
  • Assists in the implementation of new and revised compensation programs/procedures in order to be responsive to the company's goals, with specific focus on the harmonization of compensation structures across the larger GN organization
  • Provides input to the Glanbia Group and inter-divisional projects designed to harmonize and optimize the Rewards platform across the larger parent organization (Group).
  • Provides key insight and strategy for ensuring competitiveness in local markets, gathering wage surveys for compensation of both hourly and salaried employees
  • Key contributor of the Commercial Variable Pay Plan, which comprises of communicating with Global Senior Leaders, working with Finance in the review of Month/Year End reporting, and providing thought-leadership on strategy related plan improvements
  • Provides continual support to the Human Resource function in the areas of people metrics, reporting, and advanced and predictive analytics.
  • Supports the Human Resource team to identify business challenges and use data analysis to help influence changes to the operations, process or programs.
  • Utilizes technology and analytical tools to develop and analyze enterprise-wide people and other cross-functional data as needed.
  • Creates standard management reporting capturing all People Analytics for periodic/quarterly/annual distribution.
  • Creates, maintains, and ensures quality assurance of key human resources data sets, reports, and metrics.
  • Works as the key representative to the external benchmarks and key surveys supporting the HR function.
  • Ensures HR compliance with reporting to government agencies
  • Looks for ways to partner with HRIS to improve data integrity and ensure efficient and understood processes are in place across the Business Unit for bringing new employees into Glanbia, moving employees within Glanbia or overseeing termination processes for employees
  • Adhoc project management – to include components of M&A integration into Glanbia Reward platforms

Qualification & Experience Requirements

Education, Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Math, Economics, Computer Science, Human Resources, or other STEM areas preferred

Experience Required:

  • 7-10 years of Finance or analytically focused HR experience required, with 3 years of people leadership responsibilities preferred.
  • SAP – HR experience preferred
  • Highly competent in Excel

Language, Computer &   Numeracy:

  • Fluent in written and spoken English required
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with MS Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Heavy Data analysis including MS Excel pivot tables and spreadsheets to do calculations on cost potency changes, percentages, etc.
  • Experience working with ERP, preferably SAP with strong capability to work within these systems

Travel Requirements

  • Periodic domestic travel and possibility of occasional international travel required (10%)
