Overview

As a member of the Corporate Development team, you will be responsible for performing financial and strategic analysis to support Glanbia’s ongoing M&A strategy.  Glanbia is a seasoned acquirer of consumer products and ingredients businesses worldwide. You will play a key role in preparing financial models and the due diligence process to evaluate potential acquisitions, strategic investments, and joint ventures. This is a high visibility role with opportunities to interact with senior-level executives and advisors.

This is a permanent opportunity and will report to the Corporate Development Director

The base location of the role will be in our offices in Chicago with a hybrid working model in place through our smart working model which allows for a greater choise in how you work and live, giving ou a better work-life balance

 

Key responsibilities

  • Analyze acquisition, strategic investment, and business partnership opportunities in line with corporate strategy and growth objectives
  • Develop operating financial models to evaluate a target’s financial projections, valuation, accretion dilution, and returns analyses
  • Work with business partners to create and deliver high quality presentation materials to support acquisition recommendations for senior leadership and other internal stakeholders
  • Support transaction execution through project management and due diligence tasks
  • Manage analysts and continue to develop a pipeline of future talent across the organization
  • Collaborate with internal business unit leaders to support ad-hoc strategic finance projects

 

Qualifications required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or other relevant concentration
  • Three to five years of financial analysis experience in investment banking, corporate development, transaction advisory preferred

 

Experience required:

  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, and research skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and resources in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to develop and maintain productive cross-functional relationships
  • Broad financial acumen in accounting and corporate finance principles
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Very strong attention to detail
  • Desire to learn about global food, dairy, and ingredient industry dynamics and trends
