Corporate Development Senior Analyst

We are currently seeking to recruit a Senior Analyst to join the Corporate Development team. The role will be based in Chicago and will report to the Corporate Development Director.

 

Role Summary:

 

As a member of the Corporate Development team, you will be responsible for performing financial and strategic analysis to support Glanbia’s ongoing M&A strategy.  Glanbia is a seasoned acquirer of consumer products and ingredients businesses worldwide. You will play a key role in the strategic evaluation of opportunities including the financial analysis and the due diligence process to evaluate potential acquisitions, strategic investments, and joint ventures. This is a high visibility role with opportunities to interact with senior-level executives and advisors.

 

Key Elements of the Role:

  • Analyze acquisition, strategic investment, and business partnership opportunities in line with corporate strategy and growth objectives
  • Develop operating financial models to evaluate a target’s financial projections, valuation, accretion dilution, and returns analyses
  • Work with business partners to create and deliver high quality presentation materials to support acquisition recommendations for senior leadership and other internal stakeholders
  • Support transaction execution through project management and due diligence tasks
  • Collaborate with internal business unit leaders to support ad-hoc strategic finance projects
  • Other ad hoc strategic work as required

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or other relevant discipline

Skills & Experience

  • Two to three years of financial analysis experience in investment banking, corporate development, transaction advisory services preferred
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, and research skills
  • Broad financial acumen in accounting and corporate finance principles
  • Very strong attention to detail
  • Desire to learn about global food, dairy, and ingredient industry dynamics and trends
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate to key stakeholders across various levels and functions
  • Ability to develop and maintain productive cross-functional relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment
  • Accurate with very strong attention to detail
  • Ability to travel when and if required on a project needs basis
