Job Summary

Senior Director of Marketing & Insights will direct and oversee the global marketing and insights activities for Glanbia Nutritionals. This position will be responsible for the design, implementation and monitoring of effective marketing strategies that align with our business goals. This individual will own the Marketing department’s activities contributing to our company’s long-term success.

 

The Senior Director of Marketing & Insights reports directly to the CCO and will oversee internal Marketing and Insights teams. This role will also play a significant role shaping the company’s strategic planning.   

Essential Functions

  • Creates the 3 to 5 year strategic brand plan that translates into actionable 0-2 year marketing plans.
  • Develop and execute a clear, compelling, aligned growth strategy to maximize the potential of Glanbia Nutritionals, including identification of barriers to entry, product and portfolio, and innovation.
  • Establish holistic innovation/renovation plans to drive brand relevance and expansion based on market landscape opportunities.
  • Ability to understand and leverage marketing performance insights in order to improve marketing ROI and develop high impact activation plans.
  • Manage Insights and Marketing teams based in different locations
  • Oversee Corporate Marketing, Insights,Customer Marketing and Product Marketing that include the following functions; Digital Marketing, Content, Account Based Marketing etc.)
  • Partner with commercial organization to ensure optimal go to market strategy. 
  • Set current and long-term goals for internal teams
  • Design and review the Marketing department’s budget
  • Prioritize marketing projects and allocate resources accordingly
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations on marketing metrics for the CCO, Executive Leadership Team and CEO
  • Identify challenges and opportunities for growth
  • Provide guidance and ideas to organize effective marketing events
  • Participate in the quarterly and annual planning of the company’s objectives
  • Track competitors’ activities

 

Additional Functions

  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

 

Qualification & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience managing/leading Brands and marketing teams.
  • P&L experience is required.
  • A successful track record of driving net sales and profit growth.
  • Proven track record in driving sustainable and profitable share growth.
  • Mastered functional expertise in classical brand management, deep understanding of consumer and customer insights and activation
  • A history of delivering outstanding business results within competitive and changing environment, proven ability to perform within a matrix organization.
  • Strong operational, project management, cross functional experience; excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Ability to grow and develop new leaders.
  • Ability to motivate and grow top performers.

  • Digital Experience / DTC – Has a fundamental knowledge and view point on D T C marketing and selling. Ability to recruit influencers and develop robust influencer type programs.

 

Typical environmental conditions

  • May be exposed to moderate noise levels (i.e. office equipment, light traffic).
  • May be exposed to moderate to high noise levels (i.e. production equipment, forklifts, heavy traffic).
  • May be exposed to dust, humidity, intense heat and cold, outdoor weather conditions, and fumes and toxic chemicals.
  • May work in areas with mechanical moving parts, above ground with risk of fall, or areas with risk of electrical shock.
