The HR Business Partner implements HR solutions that enable the business to achieve its objectives. The HRBP consults, executes and monitors HR strategies and programs, including performance management, talent management, workforce planning, leadership development, and career development.  The HRBP works closely with functional leaders and brokers the services of the HR Centers of Excellence (COE) team to deliver high-quality solutions.




  • Supports the implementation of HR strategies, objectives and processes to align with the overall function/business strategy.
  • Consults with business leaders to diagnose current and future HR needs, and develop a strategy for resolution.
  • Collaborates with the Center of Excellence (COE) specialists to implement and monitor HR solutions and services.
  • Directly supports business/function leader(s) with advice and counsel, which includes the ability to objectively assess, influence and push back, when necessary.
  • Uses data and metrics in conversations and HR recommendations / solutions; applies balanced judgement when making recommendations.
  • Ultimately responsible to the business for quality and performance of HR services provided.
  • Able to run and analyze reports, building out a strategy and/or approach to assist business leaders.
  • Partners with leaders on employee relation issues, including recommendations for investigations, progressive discipline, performance improvement plans, and terminations.
  • Assists leaders with interviewing and selecting candidates for open roles.
  • Drives the execution of HR processes – e.g., goal-setting, year-end reviews, organization and people review (OPR), individual development plans.
  • Regular, in-person attendance and participation in designated department meetings, as evidenced by being considered an integral part of the team.
  • Works with the function/business on people and workforce strategies, helping to develop our talent and a high performance culture.
  • Consults with function/business leaders to identify future leadership talent, and create development and succession plans.
  • Responsible for ensuring business relevance of HR services offered, serving as the lead HR ‘sales person’ for the business/function.
  • Ensures compliance on company policies as well as compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
  • Responds to inquiries and charges (e.g., EEOC, DOL).
  • Provides coaching and development to department leaders.
  • Drives culture to integrate Glanbia values in all aspects of the business.
  • Supports the integration of companies which GN has acquired.
  • Other duties as assigned.




Education, Training:      

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Human Resources Management.
  • 3+ years of HR generalist experience, HR Specialty or other business-related experience.
  • Professional HR certification preferred.

Typical Environmental Conditions

  • May be exposed to moderate noise levels (i.e. office equipment or light traffic).



  • Minimal overnight travel (up to 10%) by land and/or air.
