It processes a 3 billion litre milk pool from 21 counties and exports high quality dairy and AGRI ingredients as well as branded products to over 60 countries.

 

With annual revenue of €1.8 billion, Glanbia Ireland has 11 processing plants, 53 AGRI branches and over 1,800 employees. 

 

Glanbia Ireland is seeking to extend its international footprint across consumer brands into China / MEA Markets with a range of UHT dairy products – Milk, Cream and Powders - as well as Butter and Cheese primarily under the Avonmore brand.

 

Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Product Management, the Marketing Activation Manager will be responsible for implementing global marketing strategy, facilitating B2B / B2C brand growth in the marketplace through marketing, innovation and tradeshow activities and will also be a key support to the In Market teams. This role will be based in Ireland with a small amount of International travel required.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  1. Innovation Roadmap
    • Development of NPD plans in conjunction with Commercial and In Market teams.
    • Working with R&D, In Market team and Consumer Marketing Innovation team to deliver on key projects.
    • Owner of Innovation process within the International team
    • Tracking of Innovation launched against key metrics when launched.
       
  2. Packaging Development / Regulatory Compliance
    • Management of ongoing pack design and updates – for International Brands and Customer Brands as required.
    • Work with Key Stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory processed for local markets e.g. CIQ in China
    • Benchmark with key competitors / liaise with suppliers
       
  3. Tradeshow and event management
    • Event management  for larger trade shows for customer / consumer events
    • Develop working partnerships with key external stake-holders e.g. Bord Bia 
    • Tradeshow and Events Comms
       
  4. Centralised Brand Management
    • Maintenance and development of brand design and guidelines
    • Management of off-line materials design
    • Design of  POS as required
    • Liaison with Market based Brand Team to deliver on key trade marketing requirements
    • Development of Product Information collateral
    • Development of all NPD spec sheets and sell in decks
       
  5. Ireland Based Customer Experience
    • Hosting Distributor/ Retailer/ Influencer/ Consumer visits to Ireland including farm and field trips
       
  6. Overall Marketing Budget Management and Reconciliation
    • Tracking of all marketing spend to come in on budget with early warning flags around potential under or overspends
    • Liaison with Finance team in Dublin to ensure adequate tracking of budget and invoicing
    • Liaison with Procurement team in Dublin to ensure correct set up of POs and new vendors as required on the system
       
  7. Management and development of the International Marketing Activation Team

 

Role Requirements

  • Minimum third level qualification in business or marketing
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a brand marketing role
  • Experience in food or drinks industry a must
  • Knowledge of China market a distinct advantage
  • People Management experience
  • Ability to create reports and metrics to track results and prepare and deliver executive presentations.
  • Ability and confidence to interact with senior management across a variety of functions and organisations.
  • Results oriented and KPI driven.
  • Motivated and driven to progress.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
