Marketing Assistant

The Marketing Assistant will report to the Marketing Manager within the Glanbia Ireland Consumer Category.

We’re looking for an ambitious Marketing Assistant to join the busy marketing team based in our Citywest office in Dublin. The team work hard to deliver great campaigns working with a strong portfolio of market leading brands

This is a great role for someone looking for their next career move within an FMCG company and there is certainly plenty of opportunity to get involved in some high profile projects

Main Responsibilities

  • Achievement of agreed KPIs (sales, market share, distribution) for each brand
  • Manage internal spend within agreed brand budgets
  • Monitor and report internal sales, implementing corrective action where required
  • Monitor, implement and report on social media strategy across all platforms
  • Lead and manage brand sampling demonstration programmes with particular focus on agency and budget management and ensuring all internal and external parties are kept up to date on the latest plans
  • Complete deep dives and competitor reviews in various markets to understand & respond to category dynamics
  • Liaise with internal commercial teams to deliver best in class marketing plans & activations
  • Manage design changes with our packaging design houses for a range of products across the Glanbia portfolio
  • Ensure the portfolio is managed correctly in all systems including product set-up, SAP, barcode and coupon management
  • Manage, represent and lead brand Avonmore at key events throughout the year including the National Ploughing Championships and assist at trade shows where applicable
  • Champion & support the marketing team across agreed marketing projects e.g. research projects, innovation projects and in-market activations
  • Manage & respond to all internal and external marketing requests
  • Comply with all internal and external admin processes



  • 1 year marketing experience within an FMCG environment.
  • Degree qualification in marketing or business related discipline
  • Ability to innovate, be proactive and act as a highly motivated self-starter in a rapid results driven environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a WIN WIN attitude and ability to work cross-functionally across many teams
  • Computer literate, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and market insight tools e.g Nielsen, Kantar, social / digital reporting.
