Global Mobility - Project Lead (fixed term contract)


An opportunity has arisen for a Talent Mobility Project Lead with Glanbia plc.  This is a 6 months Fixed Term Contract position based in our Head office, Kilkenny or Citywest, Dublin 24 and will report to the Group Head of Reward.

Key Elements of the Role

  • Review Glanbia’s Immigration requirements and determine the most efficient and effective manner to support immigration activity across the Group including the use of third party vendors to ensure compliance for our mobile population and Glanbia.
  • Considering Glanbia’s current and future plans to promote talent mobility across geographies determine the appropriate means to facilitate talent mobility including assignment definitions & associated policies, mobility vendors and costing schedules and compensation summaries.
  • The mobility of talent brings with it tax implications relating to the home and host countries. This role will determine a structured pro-active approach to managing the personal tax of mobile talent, including appropriate tax policies and process.
  • The outputs of this review will include policies, process maps and service agreements for internal and external users.
  • Collaboration will be key to ensure one global process and policy definition informed by and  adopted by all business units.
  • Establish strong communications with key stakeholders across expanding geographies and business requirements.
  • Gain an understanding of the key challenges in each region.


Qualifications / Experience

  • Minimum of a third level qualification in a relevant area with at least 5 years post qualification experience.
  • Mobility or Tax experience in a Professional Services Firm experience will be an advantage.
  • Previous experience of working within a multinational environment in a Global Mobility, International Assignment Tax, Compensation or Relocation support is key.
  • Experience with assignment compensation including payroll is highly desirable
  • Strong experience in project management, planning, process and policy definition.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a global business environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

    Functional Competencies

  • You will have a good understanding of a HR global mobility function and have experience within compensation summary preparation.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills as well as process improvement skills is important.
  • Sound knowledge in systems and automation and databases for expats (eg payroll, ECA, Mercer, HR Toolbox).
  • Sound knowledge of contractual and legal terms and obligations.
  • Very good communicator and ability to present complex matters in an understandable and clear way.
  • Have a high level of precision and accuracy.
