Job Summary

Administers policies and performs tasks relating to all phases of human resources activities. Assumes HRBP duties and responsibilities in the absence of the HRBP.


Essential Functions

  • Records employee information such as personal data, compensation, benefits, tax data, attendance, performance reviews or evaluations, and termination date and reason.
  • Processes employment applications and assists in other employment activities such as offers and onboarding tasks utilizing the SAP Success Factors Software.
  • Schedules, attends, and follows up on recruitment events and job fairs.
  • Initiates record changes for employees in relation to manager, pay, schedule, position and other changes.
  • Updates employee files to document personnel actions and to provide information for payroll and other uses.
  • Maintain the HRIS (SAP) programs as needed and or directed.
  • Examines employee files to answer inquiries and provides information to authorized persons.
  • Compiles data from personnel records and prepares reports.
  • Administer Random Drug Screens.
  • Administers aptitude, personality, and interest tests.
  • Computes wages and records data for use in payroll processing.
  • Compiles and maintains records for use in employee benefits administration.
  • Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
  • Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
  • Primary contact for benefits plans participation such as insurance and pension plan, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews (PDP Lite), terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
  • Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Handles lower level complaints and investigations providing recommendations to HRBP and/or management for resolution.
  • Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation.
  • Review and update job descriptions as needed.
  • Conduct exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations and prepares analytics to control and reduce employee turnover.
  • Work with the benefits team to track employees on Disability or Leave of Absence while participating in the interactive process with employees on leave.
  • Support Continuous Improvement efforts (GPS) by participating in activities and projects to help boost employee engagement.
  • Each employee shall comply with occupational safety and health standards and all rules, regulations, and orders issued pursuant to the Occupational Safety and Health  Act which are applicable to his/her own actions and conduct.
  • Complies with all applicable food safety regulations and mandates (Safe Quality Foods, Food and Drug Admin, Pasteurized Milk Ordinance)
