Job Summary

Manager of Consumer Insights, GPN Americas is responsible for contributing to the development and application of consumer understandings through qualitative and quantitative research techniques. Assess market landscape, need states, consumer trends, areas of non-consumption and white space for all products new and existing. Key areas of responsibility include project management, execution of consumer insights research and budget management. The role resides in IL. Reporting to the Director of Consumer Insights. Individual Contributor.

 

Essential Functions

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages development and application of consumer insights through qualitative and quantitative research techniques
  • Assesses market landscape, need states, consumer trends, areas of non-consumption and white space
  • Assists with learning agenda for category teams
  • Collaborates with agency partners and internal analytics teams to execute key consumer insights initiatives including quantitative and qualitative primary research
  • Converts complex consumer, category, competitor, and channel/customer insights into actionable plans and recommendations
  • Assists in the management of online consumer community, including designing and programming consumer surveys and analyzing results
  • Executes brand health tracking, panel, trends insights
  • Translates data and voice of the consumer into actionable insights
  • Manages key renovation and innovation plans
  • Builds strategic relationship with key suppliers and vendors
  • Assesses category and consumer trends with the ability to identify key marketing opportunities and threats

 

Decision Making/Problem Solving

  • Collaborate with brand teams to finalize screeners, questionnaires, discussion guides, stimuli, etc.
  • Negotiate budget, timeline & scope of projects with external vendors
  • Communicate recommendations based on research results

 

 

 

 

Education:

 

4 year BA/BS degree required

 

 

Experience –

3-5 years of CPG relevant experience/area of consumer insights

 

Other Experience –

 

Proficient with Microsoft Office – especially Excel & PowerPoint for analysis and Client presentations

Experience with SPSS statistical software

Spanish language is a bonus
