The opportunity where you will make an impact:


As our Country Manager you will lead the P&L, distribution and rate of sale performance of our brands in Denmark. In this role, you will also lead a small marketing team with the responsibility for the brand’s awareness and local execution of our activities across the Nordics. You will also support the delivery of a clear strategy in conjunction with the cross-functional Nordics management team.

  • Develop and implement a winning Danish commercial strategy to enable achievement of growth ambition
  • Develop and implement a compelling results-driven marketing activation plan for the Nordics region
  • Establish and develop the most effective Route to Market approach to maximise potential whilst minimising costs across all channels and geographies in the region (direct accounts, direct to consumer, distributors, small field sales team, and sales operations)
  • In depth understanding of the category and customer insights in this region so as to enable penetration
  • Design right in-market organisation structures which also effectively leverages the centralised support model to enable delivery of strategy
  • Own the regional P&L for all Danish customers, achieve desired results on agreed sales, GM and operating profit targets
  • Develop and maintain joint business plans with all direct customers ensuring regular reviews
  • Develop pricing strategy in line with commercial guidelines to maximise sales potential and customer support
  • Collaborate with brand and customer marketing teams to devise and implement winning channel / customer strategies
  • Lead and develop the in-market team and drive a high performing team culture
  • Identify new market opportunities and distribution partnership whilst developing robust business proposals to support buy in from key stakeholders and negotiate contracts with a view to developing long term relationships
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Monitor competitor activity in the marketplace and identify market trends to share with the central team



What you will bring to GPN:


  • At least 8-10 years’ of experience in a sales and/or marketing function working in Denmark
  • At least 3 years’ prior experience in building new brands and/or sales channels in Denmark at a sales and/or marketing leadership level
  • Passion for the sports nutrition industry
  • Prior direct P&L experience across a range of channels
  • Leadership experience across national accounts, field sales management, distribution management and online channels
  • Experience in marketplace mapping and channel/account segmentation
  • Clear strategic thinker with strong customer relationship management skills
  • Proven and consistent track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets in a growth business
  • Excellent leadership skills and proven experience of building and developing a high performing team
  • Experience in category management, customer insights and sales analytics
  • A self-starter, highly motivated and ambitious individual with strong communication skills
  • Fluency in Danish & English
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
