Job Summary

The Dock Clerk manages the production dock including all finished goods and SAP transactions.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities (not restrictive)

  • Follows and enforces all safety measures and precautions and maintain an excellent safety record. This includes wearing required PPEs and keeping all required safety equipment in good condition.
  • Complies with all company policies, procedures, GMPs, & Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) . Reports all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
  • Closely follow written and oral instructions from supervisors and management.
  • Manages production dock, coordinating the documentation and loading of all finished goods
  • Internal and external communication regarding production status, electronic and verbal
  • Acts as liaison between production and the warehouse, coordinating warehouse support of production and batching
  • Works with the Palletizer team to assure accuracy of all documentation of finished goods
  • Completion of SAP Good Receipt of all finished goods
  • SAP Post Goods Issue of finished goods, resulting in automatic invoicing to customer
  • Review MPS and prioritize workflow based on need and demand
  • Works with drivers to manage dock doors and meet all needs for materials/finished goods going in/out of the production building
  • Performs post-production inventory counts and complete SAP transactions returning material to inventory
  • Warehouse support including loading/offloading, kit verification/transfer, clean ing and any warehouse project assigned.
  • Repeatedly moves and lifts various objects exceeding 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to verify the accuracy of materials and procedures used in the manufacturing of finished goods.
  • Knows and maintains Good Documentation Practices (GDPs) that comply with company standards.
  • Takes an active role in contributing to continuous operational improvement.
  • Works in a team-based environment and communicate effectively and respectfully with peers, supervisors and management.
  • Possesses motivation and ability to work independently on assignments and complete assigned tasks in a satisfactory manner.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position.

Qualification & Experience Requirements

Education, Training:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in warehouse environment or equivalent type of manufacturing

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Possess current forklift certification and forklift experience
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written.
  • Ability to use computer, including email and web based programs. SAP experience preferred.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Ability to solve practical problems and offer solutions.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skills.
  • Possess motivation to succeed in a fast-paced production environment and the willingness to be a fully engaged employee in the company.
