Job Summary

This position will play a key role in business partnering and decision support for the Glanbia Nutritionals – Aseptic and Flavors business, with responsibilities including Product and customer analysis, budget and strategy: preparation, analysis and support; and analyzing and preparing various weekly and monthly financial reports.

 

Essential Functions

  • Complete RFP’s, and work with PSM on Aseptic and Flavor’s customer pricing.
  • Analyzes Gross Margin and Gross Profit to determine impact caused by volume, selling prices, material costs and/or production costs.
  • Compares actual results against business plan, forecast, and prior year.
  • Prepares and distributes variance analysis to executive management.
  • Assists in projections and forecasts, by major customers, product categories, and Account Managers.
  • Provides accurate and timely financial reporting for the business unit.
  • Assists Director with business modeling to reflect various scenarios and simulate certain outcomes.
  • Responsible for preparing various weekly and monthly reports as assigned.
  • Participates in monthly account review meetings involving executive members.
  • Liaises with various departments and partners with Product Managers to assist with data analysis and decision support.
  • Responsible for process improvement and standardization in assigned area.
  • Build understanding of standard costing system, and associated production overhead allocations.
  • Assist with month end closing tasks and reporting, as assigned.
  • Assist with Global reporting.
  • Assist with product pricing, and product costing analysis, as assigned.
  • Work as a part of the GN Commercial and Product & Innovation Finance team, providing backup, and be a good team player.

Additional Functions

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Participates in special projects or action teams
     

Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three to four years related experience.  CPA, CMA or equivalent experience preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel spreadsheet skills and reporting writing experience.
  • Track record of achievement in driving performance and change
  • Ability to motivate and influence a diverse group of people
  • Ability to define problems, collects data, establishes facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
