Job Duties:

The Mechanic III leads and coordinates activities of workers engaged in maintaining and repairing equipment and systems in the filling lines areas by performing the following duties.

Essential Functions:

• Directs workers engaged in maintaining and repairing equipment
• Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies
• Inspects completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications and standards
• Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignments
• Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules
• Enforces safety regulations
• Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew
• Analyzes and resolves work problems or assist workers in resolving work problems
• Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments
• Enter timely and accurate information into preventative maintenance computer program
• Recommends parts to be deleted or kept in stock
• Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
