Job Summary

Warehouse operations including kitting and production support

Essential Functions and Responsibilities (not restrictive)

  • Follow and enforce all safety measures and precautions and maintain an excellent safety record. This includes wearing required PPEs and keeping all required safety equipment in good condition.
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, GMPs, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and the Aseptic Code of Safe Practices. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
  • Closely follow written and oral instructions from supervisors and management.
  • Accurate record keeping
  • Warehouse support including loading/offloading, covering dock, preparing kits, kit verification/transfer, clean ing and any warehouse project/support assigned.
  • Production support, responsible for providing all materials required for production to the batching/production departments
  • Repeatedly move and lift various objects exceeding 50 lbs.
  • Trouble shoot and operate palletizer equipment
  • Support Quality team as required
  • Know and maintain Good Documentation Practices (GDPs) that comply with company standards.
  • Take an active role in contributing to continuous operational improvement.
  • Work in a team-based environment and communicate effectively and respectfully with peers, supervisors and management.
  • Possess motivation and ability to work independently on assignments and complete assigned tasks in a satisfactory manner
  • Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.

Qualification & Experience Requirements

Education, Training:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D

Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 1 year of a experience in manufacturing environment.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Excellent attendance and safety record required.
  • Possess current forklift certification and forklift experience
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written.
  • Ability to use computer, including email and web based programs.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Ability to solve practical problems and offer solutions.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skills.
  • Possess motivation to succeed in a fast-paced production environment and the willingness to be a fully engaged employee in the company.
  • Ability to adapt to change in a positive and productive manner
  • Ability to work with amino acids, vitamins and fine chemicals in powder and liquid form as well as allergen products.

Language, Computer &   Numeracy:

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and written
  • Computer skills and proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience with SAP is preferred
