Procurement Coordinator - Ops

Job Summary

The Procurement Coordinator will operate in a rapidly expanding, fast moving, and complex business with supervision.  Will support the delivery of Procurement Operations tactics and strategy, managing risk, supporting cost savings initiatives, achieving KPI’s and ensuring consistent delivery of products and services while ensuring the day to day operations delivers and runs efficiently.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities (not restrictive)

  • Maintain new vendor and SAP material code set up process with approval from the category team, including submitting of the e-form when required, and follow up with Masterfile Maintenance to ensure proper and prompt set up
  • Request missing documents for QA/CS
  • Support Resolution of Assigned Category/Site Daily Issues
  • Monitor Utility bills to ensure timely payment
  • Maintain LIV Log, monitoring to make sure pending invoices are corrected and cleared from the log in a timely manner
  • Troubleshoot SAP Procure to pay issues working collaboratively with site Requisitioners
  • Upload receiving documents into SAP
  • Maintain and update new invoices plans and framework orders as needed
  • Converting Requisition to PO’s ensuring that the proper procedures are followed
  • Maintain Corona Procurement Ops KPI board on a daily basis
  • Foster the Glanbia culture of “The Customer Champion” through outstanding service with a “can do” attitude

Qualification & Experience Requirements

Education, Training:

  • University degree in related field preferred (equivalent experience in lieu of education may be considered)

Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of business experience; college education can take the place of work experience
  • Working knowledge of and experience with food or fortification manufacturing environment is preferred.

  • An ability to work with diverse set of suppliers across multiple regions
  • Analytical with superior problem solving skills over near and long-term planning horizons
  • Strong business understanding and orientation and effectively handles multiple, rapidly changing and conflicting priorities
  • Passionate about the business, will be a strong external ambassador / advocate for the business and will be highly collaborative with the ability to work successfully across teams, regions and functions
  • Strong cultural awareness based on past exposure, experience, and successful business dealings 
  • Highly detailed with a systematic approach, sense of responsibility and positive customer focus
  • Must have demonstrably strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal), to include speaking clearly in positive or negative situations
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of personnel with the utmost professionalism

Language, Computer &   Numeracy:

  • Fluent in written and spoken English required
  • Experience with and solid understanding of ERP/MRP systems, preferably SAP with the ability and desire to work within and progress such complex systems with eTender and Business Objects experience also preferred
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Strong math skills, and knowledge of the metric system, are required
  • Heavy Data analysis including MS Excel pivot tables and spreadsheets to do calculations on cost potency changes, percentages, etc
