Total Rewards Analyst

Responsible for compensation and benefits administration and analysis which can include, but is not limited to: job documentation and evaluation, preparation and delivery of communications/training materials (U.S. and globally), research, analysis and recommendation of actions towards reward programs, completion of surveys, and other duties/projects as assigned. This role will initially have a greater focus on compensation which can vary due to business needs or other opportunities.


Essential Functions

  • Responsible for documenting positions and market value; making recommendations on pay and equity in coordination with internal partners.
  • Assist in annual corporate bonus administration (including calculation and payout) and system programming in coordination with HRIS/IT.
  • Monitors global compensation market competitive trends making compensation program recommendations (merit/off-cycle budget, structure movement, etc.) based on findings.
  • Creates global total rewards communications and works with IT/HRIS on delivery.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of global total reward guidelines.
  • Assist in developing global total rewards training materials and delivery to all levels of the organization.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of global compensation practices, processes and guidelines.
  • Conducts compensation market analyses as required for requested positions and responsible for submitting data to selected surveys.
  • Assists in the coordination of roll-out and delivery of benefits annual enrollment; partners with HR Business Partners.
  • Assist in creation of benefits and compensation communications and training materials, delivering information to employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Assists with financial processing and analysis including: invoices, internal audits, 5500 filings, other compliance related filings/matters, budget creation/tracking/trending, benefit pricing and other related projects.
  • Interfaces with vendors, participating in ongoing calls and assisting with resolution of issues and/or projects.
  • Work with employees and vendors to answer questions and resolve issues.
  • Assist in annual benefit review (including but not limited to Health & Wellness plans, 401(k), Deferred Compensation, etc.) and makes recommendations for process and program improvements; works closely with HRIS/IT on the SAP system as it relates to benefits.
  • Assists in the administration the short/long term leave process – works closely with vendors on claims and partners with HR Business Partners/HR Generalists on claims and communications.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of benefit practices, processes and policies.
  • Other duties/projects as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  

  • Knowledge of standard compensation principals and market pricing standards
  • Knowledge of incentive program design and administration
  • Knowledge of standard benefit principles and programs including compliance (FMLA, HIPAA, Section 125, ADA, etc.).
  • Knowledge of benefit administration.
  • Familiarity with administration of fully-insured and self-funded plans.
  • Intermediate/Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (V-lookups, If-Statements)
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management
  • Ability to run reports using HRIS system – SAP and ADP preferred
  • Ability to present findings in a logical and relatable way



  • Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of prior compensation and benefits experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or Business a plus.
  • Global benefits/compensation/Total Rewards experience a plus.
  • Compensation experience for a CPG or manufacturing company preferred.
  • CCP or PHR certification preferred.
  • Familiarity with general benefits and compensation administration and principles preferred.
