Trade & Customs Compliance Analyst

Essential Functions:
- Audit import and export shipment documentation, including customs clearance and AES Filings
- Review daily, weekly, monthly shipment reports
- Analyze ingredient bill of material and document tariff classification support, including country of origin determination
- Qualify and maintain import and export Free Trade Agreement (FTA) certificates
- Develop import and export procedures and training
- Maintain our trade compliance and regulatory product databases
- Assist Manager of Trade and Customs Compliance with the creation and maintenance of import and export compliance manuals
- Assist with import and export compliant commercial invoices, packing lists, and other required documentation
- Provide support and led various compliance activities and projects as determined and delegated by the Manager of Trade and Customs Compliance
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience with Free Trade Agreement Qualification process such as USMCA
- Experienced with U.S. Customs, FDA, and BIS/OFAC regulations
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. Customs laws, Incoterms and Harmonized Tariff Classification, U.S. Customs Regulations, understanding of the GRI’s, Section and Chapter Notes and explanatory notes, and CROSS rulings
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
- Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities
- Ability to prioritize tasks and projects in a high-pressure environment
- Drawback and/or Foreign Trade Zone experience is a plus
- Experience AES Filing is a plus
Education/Experience:
- BA degree
- U.S. Customs Brokers License preferred
- 7+ Years of progressively responsible experience in this field is required
- Experience in customs brokerage, retail or consumer goods supply chain is a plus
