General Summary:

In conjunction with the Senior Brand Manager, ABM is responsible for contributing to the development and execution of brand strategies and marketing plans that will drive and achieve the business objectives domestically. Key areas of responsibility include project management and commercialization of new product launches, development and execution of activation tactics, consumption reporting, financial analysis, and budget management.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Manage cross-functional teams via execution of strong project management for new product launches. Execute innovation pipeline projects and ensure key project milestones are successfully met on time.
  • Support SBM in development of business cases as needed for new brand platforms that will include development of strategic rationale, product positioning, size of prize, and project financials.
  • Leads and/or supports the development and execution of tactical plans, including promotional plans, sampling, trade show and advertising support, customer marketing roll-out and support, etc.
  • Monitor sales, margin, and volume across key products and categories. Develop and implement action plans to address any unexpected weak areas.
  • Execute portfolio maintenance activities including product renovation tasks (i.e. label refresh, reformulations, etc.).
  • Partner with creative agency and in-house creative team to execute key activation initiatives including digital, social media, print and other promotional tactics.
  • Partner with the sales and marketing teams to devise customer plans for key accounts.
  • Closely monitors and reports on category trends and competitive marketing activity (i.e. social media tactics, advertising creative/copy) with the ability to assess key marketing opportunities and threats.
  • Candidate should already have an existing passion for the sports nutrition/fitness/wellness category.
  • Performs day-to-day business management activities, and executes other projects or activities as requested.

  • Strong leadership skills in managing/influencing teams and implementing key business initiatives.
  • Results oriented with high level of initiative and assertiveness.
  • Strong cross-functional project management skills.
  • Ability to comprehensively understand and convert consumer, category, competitor, and channel/customer insights into actionable plans.
  • Self-starting problem solver the effectively used fact-base rationale.
  • Organized and responsive.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel.

 

Education/Experience:

  • BA/BS required, MBA preferred.
  • Previous marketing and/or consulting experience.
