BSN, a worldwide leader in cutting-edge physique and performance products, is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate brand marketer to fill the role of Associate Brand Manager – North America.  In this unique position, he/she will be responsible for assisting the BSN NA Marketing team in the positioning, execution, management, analyses, and branding efforts of this distinctive brand. He/she will play a critical role in driving household penetration and awareness across North America.


Essential Functions:

  • Assist with development of the 2 year innovation strategy and drive innovation initiatives to market launch, spanning line extension to white space offerings.  Includes driving cross functional partnership & accountability with a focus on speed.
  • Collaborate with designated key accounts & channels execute in market activations that are consistent with the brand’s positioning and DNA.
  • Own performance and support of key product platforms including day to day maintenance of brand assets, including but not limited to packaging graphics updates, regulatory considerations, samples, and communication assets
  • Leverage data on owned key product platforms to create recommendations for strategic and tactical decisions regarding marketing efficiencies, pricing, product lifecycle, and distribution opportunities
  • Track and monitor brand health metrics and recommend corrective measures as appropriate
  • Provide creative direction for marketing assets consistent with brands positioning & DNA
  • Identify new ways to activate the BSN brand in a targeted manner.  Test and Learn opportunities are welcomed!
  • Become an expert resource on BSN products
  • Tracking and management of the BSN Marketing budget.
  • Partner with GPN Digital Marketing Manager to support Digital/Social Media activation

  • Skills of the position
    • High learning agility and intellectually curious
    • Proficiency in Excel, capable of organizing data to identify an actionable insight
    • Ability to use Power Point to convey a recommendation or story
  • Knowledge of the position
    • Fundamental understanding of basic branding principles (positioning, DNA, consumer insights)
    • Experience reaching consumers via social media and digital mediums
    • Understanding of the stage gate process and experience guiding a product through the launch process
    • Familiarity with the sports nutrition category a plus
  • Abilities for the position
    • Strong oral and written communicator capable of explaining complex and/or abstract ideas in clear concise, and compelling manner

  • Bachelors degree required, MBA preferred
  • Minimum Years 2 years of experience
  • Familiarity with Sports Nutrition a plus
