Assistant Brand Manager

The Assistant Brand Manager role is responsible for execution and optimization of the marketing plans for new and existing products within product lines and groups. Collaborates with integrated marketing, creative to ensure plans are executed well and adapt to changing needs of the plans, based on new information.


Duties and Responsibilities
                                

  • Key contributor to Brand team and responsible for execution and on-going optimization of marketing plan
  • Understands Insights & Analytics data and recommends changes/ optimization to support marketing and product strategies 
  • Owns the execution of activation plans for existing and new product lines within assigned product groups, working with Integrated Marketing to maximize effectiveness
  • Assists with internal/external creative team to brief and develop creative to execute against media marketing plan and social media plans
  • Assists in development of content strategies and themes for assigned product groups
  • Collaborate with customer planning and strategy to support sales presentations, demos, materials development
  • Leads the product development process and develops business cases to assess market potential
  • Performs day-to-day business management activities and executes other projects or activities as requested
  • Manages volume forecast
  • Measures business performance, develops recommendations to address performance vs. plan 
  • Supports delivery of brand’s P&L goals and the creation and delivery of the financials of assigned product groups
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the development and delivery of strategies to meet short- and long-term goals
  • Supports development and implementation of marketing mix including pricing strategy, active sku management, category management and assortment optimization 
  • Decision Making/Problem Solving
  • Decisions day to day to execute marketing plans
  • Approval on creative, based on the knowledge of the marketing plan
  • Recommendations to bring to Marketing leader for integrated marketing ideas

 

Education

 

  • Minimum:  4 year BA/BS degree required in Marketing, Business, Relevant field
  • 2 year Masters preferred

 

Experience 

 

  • Minimum 3-4 years of CPG relevant experience
  • OR Minimum 1-2 years of CPG relevant experience and advanced degree (MBA)

 

Other Experience

 

  • Nielsen, SPINS and IRI data analytics review experience
